Hard Drive/Solid-State Drive

  • Hard drives and solid-state drives allow for the storage of documents/pictures/etc. on a device, and are commonly found in laptops and desktop computers.

  • They are generally rectangular and covered in markings that denote how big they are (500 GB, etc).

  • Additionally, both types can vary greatly in size and shape. For example, some solid-state drives have no casing, leaving the memory chips exposed.

Harde schijven en solid-state drives (SSD) nemen de opslag van documenten/foto's/etc. op een toestel op zich en zijn meestal te vinden in laptops en desktop computers.

Vaak zijn deze schijven rechthoekig en bedekt met informatie over de schijf en wat ze aankunnen (500 GB, etc).

Beide schijven kunnen enorm variëren in grootte en vorm. Sommige solid-state drives hebben bijvoorbeeld helemaal geen behuizing, waardoor de geheugenchips open en bloot liggen.
