Add seam allowance

  • Add 1/2 inch (~13 mm) to each side of the drawn patch dimensions and mark these new lines using chalk or heat-erasable pen.

  • This is for seam allowance, additional fabric that will be folded under so that the raw fabric edges of the patch don't show when the repair is complete.
