Remove the touchpad

The touchpad is secured to its bracket by two clips—a circular one that snaps into place, and a rectangular one that slides into place.
Use your fingers to pull up the left side of the touchpad to unclip it.
Slide the right side of the touchpad out from its clip and remove it.
If your replacement touchpad doesn't come with a cable installed, transfer the one from your original touchpad to the new one.
