Dual zippers

  • Dual zippers (also referred to as two-way zippers) have two sliders:

  • One that unzips from the top

  • One that's oriented upside down and unzips from the bottom

  • Importantly, these zippers don't have a zipper box (reference image #3).

  • If an issue occurs with a dual zipper, first check that both sliders are present at the bottom of the zipper. The top slider can migrate up the zipper tape and the zipper won't fasten with only the bottom slider.

Dubbele ritsen

Dubbele ritsen (ook wel tweerichtingsritsen genoemd) hebben twee sluiters:

Eentje die van bovenaf openritst

Eentje die ondersteboven zit en van onderaf openritst

Belangrijk is dat deze ritsen geen klassieke onderste stopper voor de rits hebben (zie afbeelding 3).

Als er een probleem optreedt met een dubbele rits, controleer dan eerst of beide sluiters zich onderaan de rits bevinden. De bovenste sluiter kan namelijk langs de ritsband omhoog zijn geschoven en de onderste sluiter is niet in staat de rits te sluiten omdat deze ondersteboven zit.
