Prepare the dies

  • Check that the back of the rivet (nail) fits into the nail die. Put the rivet nail aside and place the nail die into the bottom slot of the hand press.

  • Snap the front of the rivet (head) into the head die. The rivet head should stay securely in the die.

  • To insert the head die into the press:

  • Use your fingers, a screwdriver, or a hex key, as needed, to unscrew the tightening mechanism on the side of the press near the top die fitting.

  • Insert the die upward and hold it in place.

  • Tighten the tightening mechanism.

Préparer les matrices

Vérifiez que l'arrière du rivet (clou) s'insère dans la matrice à clou. Mettez le rivet de côté et placez la matrice à clou dans la fente inférieure de la presse manuelle.

Enclenchez l'avant du rivet (tête) dans la matrice à tête. La tête du rivet doit rester bien en place dans la matrice.

Pour insérer la matrice à tête dans la presse :

Utilisez vos doigts, un tournevis ou une clé Allen, selon le cas, pour dévisser le mécanisme de serrage situé sur le côté de la presse, près de l’emplacement de la matrice supérieure.

Insérez la matrice vers le haut et maintenez-la en place.

Resserrez le mécanisme de serrage.
