Hammer the rivet

  • Lay the garment on a stone block, piece of scrap wood, or other hard surface, with the rivet head facing down.

  • Use needle nose pliers to hold to rivet nail in place, making sure the head and nail pieces are still aligned.

  • Gently tap the back of the rivet with a hammer until the rivet is fastened enough to stay aligned without the pliers.

  • Remove the pliers, then hold the fabric around the rivet in place and continue to carefully hammer the rivet until it's securely fastened.

Batti il rivetto

Posiziona il capo su un blocco di pietra, un pezzo di legno di scarto o un'altra superficie dura, con la testa del rivetto rivolta verso il basso.

Usa le pinze a becchi lunghi per tenere il gambo del rivetto in posizione, assicurandoti che la testa e il gambo siano ancora allineati.

Batti delicatamente la parte posteriore del rivetto con un martello finché il rivetto non è fissato abbastanza da rimanere allineato senza l'ausilio delle pinze.

Rimuovi le pinze, poi tieni il tessuto attorno al rivetto in posizione e continua a battere delicatamente il rivetto finché non è saldamente fissato.
