Hammer the rivet

  • Lay the garment on a stone block, piece of scrap wood, or other hard surface, with the rivet head facing down.

  • Use needle nose pliers to hold to rivet nail in place, making sure the head and nail pieces are still aligned.

  • Gently tap the back of the rivet with a hammer until the rivet is fastened enough to stay aligned without the pliers.

  • Remove the pliers, then hold the fabric around the rivet in place and continue to carefully hammer the rivet until it's securely fastened.

Niete festklopfen

Lege das Kleidungsstück mit dem Nietkopf nach unten auf einen Steinblock, ein Stück Abfallholz oder eine andere harte Oberfläche.

Mit einer Spitzzange kannst du den Nietnagel festhalten und dich vergewissern, dass Kopf und Nagelstück noch ausgerichtet sind.

Klopfe vorsichtig mit einem Hammer auf die Rückseite der Niete, bis sie fest genug sitzt, um ohne die Zange ausgerichtet zu bleiben.

Dann kannst du die Zange weglegen, den Stoff um die Niete herum festhalten und die Niete weiter vorsichtig einschlagen, bis sie sicher befestigt ist.
