SKILL: Retracking a slider at a damaged area

  • Application - Damage to zipper teeth or zipper tape can cause the slider to come off one or both sides of the zipper. Use the damaged area to retrack the slider back onto the zipper tape when doing a temporary fix.

  • Skill - Remove the teeth at the damaged area and lightly singe the tape if it has frayed. This will leave an open area where the slider can be maneuvered back on to the zipper tape.

  • Patagonia Repair Tech Tip: Maneuver the slider as if parallel parking a car. Start at an angle, back it onto the zipper tape, and then straighten out.

技能：受损区域拉链头复位

应用场景 - 当链齿或拉链带受损导致拉链头单侧或双侧脱轨时，可在临时修复时利用受损区域将拉链头重新复位至轨道。

技能 - 清除受损区域的链齿，若拉链带出现毛边需轻微灼烫。这将形成一个开放区域，便于将拉链头重新引导至拉链带上。

Patagonia维修技术要诀：操作拉链头如同平行停车。先以一定角度切入，将其退入拉链带，然后调整至笔直。
