Remove the damaged drawcord

  • On both ends of the drawcord:

  • Use flush cutters to pry off the tip of the end cap.

  • Pull the drawcord end out of the end cap and untie the knot.

  • Remove the base of the end cap and any plastic discs (if present).

  • Wear safety glasses.

  • Save all these pieces.

  • Unthread the drawcord by releasing the tension from the cord locks and pulling it out of the garment completely.

  • The drawcord end knots can also be cut for faster removal (reference image #2). If doing so, add 1 inch (~25 mm) to the measurement in Step 3.

Verwijder het beschadigde trekkoord

Zorg dat je aan beide einden van het koord:

De kop van de dop loswrikt met behulp van een tang.

De knoop uit de dop trekt en losmaakt.

De dop (en andere plastic onderdelen, indien aanwezig) verwijdert.

Draag een veiligheidsbril.

Bewaar alle verwijderde onderdelen.

Maak het koord los door de spanning van de koordsluitingen af te halen en het koord in z'n geheel uit het kledingstuk te trekken.

Om wat sneller te zijn, kun je er ook voor kiezen de knopen aan het einde van het koord af te knippen (zie afbeelding 2). Als je dit doet, raden we je aan 2,5 cm (1 inch) aan de lengte in stap 3 toe te voegen.
