Measure and cut the new drawcord

  • If the drawcord isn't stretched out or missing any part, use the old drawcord as a reference to measure and cut the appropriate length for a new one.

  • Alternatively, to measure and cut a new drawcord without the old one:

  • Measure the length of the hem.

  • Add the distance the cord travels to and from any cord locks.

  • Add 2 inches (~51 mm) to account for a 1 inch (~25 mm) seam allowance on each end.

  • Add an additional 1 inch (~25 mm) if the drawcord end knots were cut in Step 2.

  • Use a lighter to singe the cut ends of the drawcord.

  • Discard broken pieces responsibly.

Misura e taglia il nuovo cordino

Se il cordino non è allentato o mancante di parti, usa il vecchio cordino come riferimento per misurare e tagliare la lunghezza appropriata per uno nuovo.

In alternativa, per misurare e tagliare un nuovo cordino senza il vecchio:

Misura la lunghezza dell'orlo.

Aggiungi la distanza che il cordino percorre per entrare e uscire dai blocca-cordino.

Aggiungi 5 cm (2 pollici) per tenere conto di un margine di cucitura di 2,5 cm (1 pollice) su ciascuna estremità.

Aggiungi un ulteriore 2,5 cm (1 pollice) se i nodi alle estremità del cordino sono stati tagliati nel Passo 2.

Usa un accendino per sigillare le estremità tagliate del cordino.

Smaltisci responsabilmente i pezzi rotti.
