Separate the cable adhesive

Check if your replacement power button board comes with a cable. If it doesn't, follow the next two steps to remove and transfer the original cable.
Gently slide an opening pick under the board's cable to separate the adhesive securing it.
If you're having trouble, heat the cable with an iOpener or hair dryer.
