Gently lift and remove the motherboard from the laptop; there should be little resistance when removing it.
If you have difficulty removing the board, check that you have removed all connectors and ribbon cables connecting the board. You may also remove the SSD for additional ease.
Lay the motherboard on a nonconducting surface, this will prevent short circuiting.
