Using the Firmware Installer

  • Once you have the superbird toolkit installed, you'll need to get the DeskThing installer. Once you've installed the appropriate installer you will run the following command...

  • deskthing-0..--setup

  • Run chmod +x /Applications/DeskThing.app/Contents/Resources/mac/adb on DeskThing's ADB otherwise you will get a currupt program error.

  • Once the installer is running, you should be able to see your device under the Client tab. If not, try using a different USB port on your computer, and check device manager if the ADB Interface and NDIS Interfaces both exist. (If they don't exist then try a different port, or use a powered USB hub. Or update your systems BIOS)

  • If your deivce is still not being detected, then you might need to install the Android Debug Bridge, and add it to your path. You will also need to to make sure your ADB is using the Global ADB rather then the Local ADB.

  • Go to the Downloads Page then Client download the latest version. Once downloaded head to the Clients tab and click Configure. Your Car Thing should restart.

Uso del instalador de firmware

Una vez que hayas instalado el kit de herramientas superbird, deberás obtener el instalador de DeskThing. Una vez que hayas instalado el instalador adecuado, ejecutarás el siguiente comando...

deskthing-0..--setup

Ejecuta chmod +x /Applications/DeskThing.app/Contents/Resources/mac/adb en el ADB de DeskThing; de lo contrario, obtendrás un error de programa corrupto.

Una vez que se esté ejecutando el instalador, deberías poder ver tu dispositivo en la pestaña Client. Si no es así, intenta usar un puerto USB diferente en tu computadora y verifica el administrador de dispositivos para ver si existen las interfaces ADB y NDIS.

(Si no existen, inténtalo con un puerto diferente o usa un concentrador USB con alimentación. O actualiza el BIOS de tu sistema)

Si tu dispositivo aún no se detecta, es posible que debas instalar Android Debug Bridge y agregarlo a tu ruta. También deberás asegurarte de que tu ADB esté usando el ADB global en lugar del ADB local.

Ves a la Downloads Page y luego a Client, descarga la última versión. Una vez descargada, ves a la pestaña Clients y haz clic en Configure. Tu Car Thing debería reiniciarse.
