Disconnect the digitizer cable

  • Use blunt nose tweezers to grip the digitizer cable close to the head and pull it away from its ZIF connector slowly and steadily to separate the coating.

  • If the coating feels stubborn, reheat the connector and try again.

  • Keep pulling on the cable until it comes completely out of its socket.

  • During reassembly:

  • Inspect the head of the cable and the ZIF connector for any remaining coating that could prevent a good connection.

  • Peel off the coating—heating the cable and the ZIF connector when the coating becomes too brittle.

  • It doesn't have to look pretty! You just need to remove enough coating to have the cable sit properly in its connector.

Koppel de digitizer-kabel los

Gebruik een pincet met botte uiteinden om de digitizer-kabel dicht bij de aansluiting zelf vast te pakken. Trek de kabel vervolgens langzaam uit het ZIF-contact weg om deze van de coating te scheiden.

Als de coating niet veel mee wil geven, verwarm je de aansluiting opnieuw en probeer je het nog een keer.

Trek de kabel weg tot deze volledig uit het contact is verwijderd.

Bij het weer in elkaar zetten van je toestel:

Controleer je de aansluiting en het ZIF-contact op resten van de coating die een goede aansluiting in de weg zouden kunnen zetten.

Trek je de resten van de coating weg. Verwarm de kabel en het ZIF-contact als de coating te broos is.

Het hoeft er allemaal niet mooi uit te zien! Je moet er vooral voor zorgen dat de coating rondom het contact zodanig is verwijderd dat het de aansluiting niet in de weg zal zitten.
