Misc & Troubleshooting

  • For the terminally curious, this is a shot of the BMS board.

  • If your ROG Ally doesn't power on, check:

  • Did you install the light blocker on your new back cover? Did you try taping the light sensor over with black tape?

  • Did you plug your Ally into mains using the original charging brick?

  • Double check to ensure your cable is properly seated on the mainboard. The margins are tight and it can pop out easily.

  • Double check that the pins on the connector head are inserted fully. You should be able to see the copper tabs through the white plastic.

  • Check your wiring. With the connector heads little white tabs facing up, you should have 3 red wires on the right and 3 black wires on the left. When connected to the mainboard, you should have 3 red wires on the left and 3 black wires on the right.

Varios y solución de problemas

Para los curiosos terminales, esta es una toma de la placa BMS.

Si tu ROG Ally no se enciende, verifica:

¿Instalaste el bloqueador de luz en tu nueva cubierta trasera? ¿Intentaste tapar el sensor de luz con cinta negra?

¿Conectaste tu Ally a la red eléctrica usando el bloque de carga original?

Verifica dos veces para asegurarte de que tu cable esté correctamente colocado en la placa base. Los márgenes son ajustados y puede salirse fácilmente.

Verifica nuevamente que las clavijas del cabezal del conector estén completamente insertadas. Deberías poder ver las pestañas de cobre a través del plástico blanco.

Verifica tu cableado. Con las pequeñas pestañas blancas de los cabezales del conector hacia arriba, deberías tener 3 cables rojos a la derecha y 3 cables negros a la izquierda. Cuando esté conectado a la placa base, debe tener 3 cables rojos a la izquierda y 3 cables negros a la derecha.
