Remove the four Front Screws

  • With the motherboard removed, you are finally ready to remove the battery compartment and change the battery.

  • Using your Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the four front screws.

  • Keep these screws separate, as they do not match screws used in other steps. However, all 10 screws securing the battery compartment can be freely mixed and matched as they are identical.

  • The front screws are very near edges and, depending on the thickness and length of your screwdriver, might not be accessible with a conventional screwdriver.

  • If you are having trouble with a conventional screwdriver, use your right angle screwdriver. It takes longer and is more difficult, but if you strip these screws, you could be locked out of the battery compartment forever. You do not have the angles or leverage to use proper screw extractors.

Retire los cuatro tornillos delanteros

Con la placa base quitada, finalmente estás listo para quitar el compartimiento de la batería y cambiar la batería.

Usando su destornillador Phillips #2, retire los cuatro tornillos frontales.

Los tornillos frontales están muy cerca de los bordes y, dependiendo del grosor y la longitud de su destornillador, es posible que no sean accesibles con un destornillador convencional.

Si tiene problemas con un destornillador convencional, use un destornillador de ángulo recto. Toma más tiempo y es más difícil, pero si se desgastan los tornillos, podría quedarse sin batería para siempre. No tiene los ángulos ni la fuerza de palanca necesarios para usar extractores de tornillos adecuados.
