Testing the outlet thermistor

  • If you aren't sure how to use a multimeter, take a look at this guide.

  • Set your multimeter to the ohms (Ω) setting. If your meter has more than one scale for ohms (Ω), set it to (Rx1000).

  • Touch the probes to the contacts on the thermistor. The reading at room temperature (70°F/21°C) should be about 12.5–14.5 kΩ for a Whirlpool Duet dryer;

  • Other models may have different values; 10 kΩ is common at room temperature (70°F/21°C) for another outlet thermistor (also called temperature control thermistor).

  • If your thermistor reads outside the proper range or reads no continuity (OL) or 0.00 Ω, follow the next steps to replace it.

프로브를 서미스터의 접점에 대세요. 실온에서 (70°F/21°C) Whirlpool Duet 건조기는 약 12.5-14.5kΩ이어야 합니다;

다른 모델에는 값이 다를 수 있으며, 다른 콘센트 서미스터(온도 제어 서미스터라고도 함)의 경우 실온에서 (70°F/21°C) 10kΩ이 일반적입니다.

서미스터가 적절한 범위를 벗어나거나 연속성(OL) 또는 0.00Ω으로 읽히는 경우 다음 단계에 따라 서미스터를 교체하세요.
