Test the run winding

  • You will need the wiring schematic for your dryer to figure out what terminal is for the run winding. On our example machine it is aligned with terminal 5.

  • Disconnect the run winding wire.

  • Be sure to grip the connector and not the wire when disconnecting.

  • Measure the resistance from the run winding terminal to the common terminal shared with the start winding.

  • This reading should be 2–5 Ω. If it is outside this range, the motor is defective and should be replaced.

Prueba del devanado de marcha

Necesitarás el esquema de cableado de tu secadora para averiguar qué borne corresponde al devanado de funcionamiento. En nuestra máquina de ejemplo está alineado con el terminal 5.

Desconecta el cable del devanado de funcionamiento.

Asegúrate de agarrar el conector y no el cable al desconectarlo.

Mide la resistencia desde el terminal del devanado de marcha hasta el terminal común compartido con el devanado de arranque.

Esta lectura debe ser de 2-5 Ω. Si está fuera de este rango, el motor está defectuoso y debe ser reemplazado.
