Release the belt tension

  • Take careful note of the belt path before proceeding.

  • Be careful during this procedure! The idler arm is under spring tension and may pinch you, or it could damage the belt switch if the arm is allowed to snap down.

  • Push the idler arm (the metal upside-down "L") up to relieve the tension on the drive belt.

  • Remove the belt from the motor pulley.

  • Gently lower the idler arm until it rests parallel to the dryer floor.

  • During reassembly, refer to your notes or the belt path link to rethread the drive belt.

Haal de spanning van de riem af

Kijk goed hoe de riem loopt voordat je verdergaat.

Ga voorzichtig te werk in deze stap! De hulparm staat onder spanning door de veer en kan je vinger klemzetten, of kan de riemschakelaar beschadigen als de arm omlaag schiet.

Duw de hulparm (de metalen, ondersteboven staande 'L') omhoog om de spanning van de aandrijfriem af te halen.

Verwijder de riem van het motorwiel.

Laat de hulparm langzaam maar zeker omlaag komen tot deze paralell aan de onderkant van de droger rust.

Raadpleeg je notities bij het weer in elkaar zetten van alle onderdelen om zeker te weten hoe de riem hoort te lopen.
