Release the belt tension

  • Take careful note of the belt path before proceeding.

  • Be careful during this procedure! The idler arm is under spring tension and may pinch you, or it could damage the belt switch if the arm is allowed to snap down.

  • Push the idler arm (the metal upside-down "L") up to relieve the tension on the drive belt.

  • Remove the belt from the motor pulley.

  • Gently lower the idler arm until it rests parallel to the dryer floor.

  • During reassembly, refer to your notes or the belt path link to rethread the drive belt.

Rilascia la tensione della cinghia

Prima di procedere, prendi nota del percorso della cintura.

Fai attenzione durante questa procedura! Il braccio tendicinghia è sottoposto a una tensione a molla e potrebbe pizzicarti, oppure potrebbe danneggiare l'interruttore della cinghia se si lascia che il braccio scatti verso il basso.

Spingi il braccio tendicinghia (la "L" metallica capovolta) verso l'alto per allentare la tensione sulla cinghia di trasmissione.

Rimuovi la cinghia dalla puleggia del motore.

Abbassa delicatamente il braccio tendicinghia finché non si appoggia parallelamente al pavimento dell'asciugatrice.

Durante il rimontaggio, fai riferimento ai tuoi appunti o al link del percorso della cinghia per rinfilare la cinghia di trasmissione.
