Release the belt tension

  • Take careful note of the belt path before proceeding.

  • Be careful during this procedure! The idler arm is under spring tension and may pinch you, or it could damage the belt switch if the arm is allowed to snap down.

  • Push the idler arm (the metal upside-down "L") up to relieve the tension on the drive belt.

  • Remove the belt from the motor pulley.

  • Gently lower the idler arm until it rests parallel to the dryer floor.

  • During reassembly, refer to your notes or the belt path link to rethread the drive belt.

Relâcher la tension de la courroie

Notez bien le parcours de la courroie avant de continuer.

Le support du galet tendeur maintient le galet tendeur sur l'arbre monté sur le support. Ce galet assure la tension de la courroie de transmission grâce au ressort du support de galet.

Poussez le support du galet tendeur (le "L" métallique à l'envers) vers le haut pour relâcher la tension sur la courroie.

Retirez la courroie du galet du moteur.

Abaissez doucement le support du galet jusqu'à ce qu'il repose parallèlement au sol du sèche-linge.

Lors du remontage, reportez-vous à vos notes ou au lien du parcours de la courroie pour réenfiler celle-ci.
