Clean the soldering iron

  • The soldering iron tip will be very hot! Be careful when handling the soldering iron during its operation.

  • Hold down the damp sponge.

  • Use a damp sponge not a wet sponge so it won't burn. Also make sure the sponge is made from a cellulose material not a polymer. You don't want the sponge to melt and mess up your iron.

  • While the soldering iron is hot, use a rubbing motion across the sponge to remove excess solder off the soldering iron tip.

  • When you have cleaned the iron, melt a small amount of solder on it to "re-tin" the tip.

Limpia el soldador

¡La punta del soldador estará muy caliente! Ten cuidado al manejar el soldador durante su funcionamiento.

Mantén presionada la esponja húmeda.

Utiliza una esponja húmeda, no mojada, para que no se queme. Asegúrate también de que la esponja esté hecha de un material de celulosa, no de polímero. No querrás que la esponja se derrita y estropee el soldador.

Mientras el soldador esté caliente, frota la esponja para eliminar el exceso de soldadura de la punta del soldador.

Cuando hayas limpiado el soldador, derrite una pequeña cantidad de soldadura sobre él para "volver a estañar" la punta.
