Test the inlet thermistor

  • This step shows how to test the inlet thermistor. If you just need to replace the hi-limit thermostat or inlet thermistor, you can skip this step.

  • With the thermistor removed from the heater housing, test for resistance with the multimeter across the two small terminals.

  • The value shown (61.8 kΩ) is acceptable for a good thermistor at room temperature (68°F/20°C). The nominal range at this temperature is 61.2‑63.7 kΩ.

  • If the device shows outside this range, replace it.

Probar el termistor de entrada

Este paso muestra cómo comprobar el termistor de entrada. Si sólo tienes que reemplazar el termostato de alto límite o el termistor de entrada, puedes saltarte este paso.

Con el termistor desmontado de la carcasa del calentador, comprueba la resistencia con el multímetro a través de los dos terminales pequeños.

El valor indicado (61,8 kΩ) es aceptable para un buen termistor a temperatura ambiente (68°F/20°C). El rango nominal a esta temperatura es de 61,2-63,7 kΩ.

Si el dispositivo muestra un valor fuera de este rango, sustitúyelo.
