Remove the shielding

  • Unwrap the shielding a bit and nick it at the base with some electronics side cutters.

  • If you will wire this cable in a terminal block instead of a Keystone or crimping on a connector, you should just remove the minimum amount of shielding needed to properly punch down the connection.

  • Make sure to not damage the delicate insulation of the individual wires.

  • Rip off the shielding.

  • Repeat for all four twisted pairs.

Verwijder de afscherming

Wikkel de afscherming een beetje af en kerf deze aan de basis met een kniptang

Als je deze kabel in een klemmenblok aansluit in plaats van in een Keystone of als je een connector gaat krimpen, verwijder je gewoon de minimale hoeveelheid afscherming die nodig is om de verbinding goed te kunnen doorvoeren.

Zorg ervoor dat je de kwetsbare isolatie van de afzonderlijke draden niet beschadigt.

Scheur de afscherming eraf.

Herhaal dit voor alle vier getwiste paren.
