Apply new thermal paste

  • Use your tube of thermal paste to apply a small drop to the middle of the processor die, about the size of a grain of rice.

  • The mounting pressure from reinstalling the heat sink will usually adequately spread the thermal paste out, but some applications recommend manually spreading the thermal paste. Follow this guide for how to do that.

  • If you accidentally get a little bit of thermal paste on the green PCB surface surrounding the processor die, don't worry! It won't cause any problems.

  • You don't need to apply any thermal paste to the heat sink—only the processor.

  • The processor is now ready for the heat sink to be reinstalled.

  • Return to Step 8 and follow the instructions in reverse order to reassemble your laptop.

Applica la nuova pasta termica

Usa il tubetto di pasta termica per applicare una piccola goccia al centro del die (il quadrato/rettangolo che protegge il processore) del processore, grande circa quanto un chicco di riso.

La pressione di montaggio derivante dal reinstallare il dissipatore di calore di solito spargerà adeguatamente la pasta termica, ma alcune istruzioni raccomandano di spargere manualmente la pasta termica. Segui questa guida su come farlo.

Se per caso spargi un po' di pasta termica sulla superficie verde della PCB intorno al die del processore, non preoccuparti! Non causerà problemi.

Non è necessario applicare pasta termica anche al dissipatore di calore, solo al processore.

Il processore è ora pronto per la reinstallazione del dissipatore di calore.

Torna al Passo 8 e segui le istruzioni in ordine inverso per rimontare il tuo laptop.
