Remove the Plate

After the screw is removed, the plate is held in by nothing but friction.
Use the tip of your opening pick to lift and remove the plate securing the battery connector in place.
This plate is held in firmly, and it will likely attempt to fling itself into the nether. Have a hand ready to block it from flying away, or be prepared to hunt on the ground until you can find it.
