Soften the board cable's adhesive

Heat an iOpener and apply it to the board cable for two minutes.
The iOpener may stick to the residue left over from the battery. Clean the surrounding surface with highly-concentrated isopropyl alcohol (over 90%) to prevent this.
A hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate may also be used, but be careful not to overheat the phone—the display is susceptible to heat damage.
