Remove the earpiece speaker

  • Note the orientation of the earpiece speaker. During reassembly it must be reinserted the same way or the speaker won't work.

  • Insert the pointed end of a spudger between the earpiece speaker and its housing

  • Pry up with the spudger to dislodge the speaker.

  • A small amount of adhesive secures the speaker.

  • Use your fingers or tweezers to remove the speaker.

  • Before reinstalling the speaker on the new screen assembly, ensure that the speaker has no mesh on the back of it.

  • Before reinserting the speaker, ensure that the raised ends of the speaker's contacts are on the right. If they aren't the speaker won't work.
