Sewing the Seam

  • Prepare your sewing machine and the area around it. Position the broken seam underneath the foot and pull the foot down.

  • Remove the pins before starting!

  • Start at one end of the seam and end at the other. Turn the bag around 180 degrees and repeat the process back the other way. Continue to do this until the repair looks to be a similar (or stronger) strength to the original. Lock the repair at both ends with a lock stitch or back stitch. Check the repair and finally cut the thread.

Réaliser la couture

Préparez votre machine à coudre et votre espace de travail. Placez la couture déchirée sous le pied presseur et abaissez celui-ci.

Retirez les épingles avant de commencer !

Cousez au point droit d'un bout à l'autre de la couture déchirée. Tournez votre housse de 180 degrés et recousez dans l'autre sens. Continuez ainsi jusqu'à ce que la réparation offre une résistance similaire à l'originale. Finissez la couture aux deux extrémités avec un point d'arrêt ou en cousant quelques points dans l'autre sens.

Vérifiez votre travail et, enfin, coupez le fil.
