Turn on the heat gun

  • Turn on the heat gun.

  • While heat guns can reach temperatures up to 1000 °F and higher, softening adhesives for electronics only requires a maximum of 200 °F. This can easily be achieved with the heat gun's low to medium-low setting.

  • Always start with the heat gun's lowest flow speed and temperature settings to avoid overheating the device you're working on.

  • If your heat gun has fine control over the temperature, keep it in the mid-to-low range. Anything higher could deform plastic or damage internal components.

  • When not in use, set the heat gun on a stable surface. The nozzle will remain hot after use.

Zet het heteluchtpistool aan.

Hoewel heteluchtpistolen temperaturen tot 500 °C (1000 °F) en hoger kunnen bereiken, heb je voor het verhitten en verzachten van de lijm in een toestel slechts een maximum van 100 °C (200 °F) nodig. Dit bereik je eenvoudig met de lage tot middellage stand van het heteluchtpistool.

Begin altijd met de laagste stroomsnelheid en temperatuurinstellingen van het heteluchtpistool om te voorkomen dat het apparaat waar je aan werkt oververhit raakt.

Als je de temperatuur van je heteluchtpistool goed kan regelen, houd de temperatuur dan in het midden-tot-lage bereik. Bij hogere temperatuur kan plastic vervormen of kunnen interne componenten beschadigd raken.

Als het heteluchtpistool niet in gebruik is, zet het dan op een stabiele ondergrond. Het mondstuk blijft na gebruik heet.
