Reseating the Spring

  • If the spring falls, out, you'll need to reseat it for the adjustment mechanism to work. The spring should be located underneath the lip of the screwed-in part of the strap so that it can push against the mechanism when you push the strap in.

  • First, loosely screw the strap back in. Don't screw it in too tight, or you'll have trouble getting the spring in. Once it's screwed in, adjust the mechanism so that it's lined up with one of the pegs.

  • Place the spring so that the coil is around the nearby spoke, and the lower arm is seated in its little notch behind the strap screws.

  • You may want to use a magnetic screwdriver to seat the spring to prevent it from falling into the controller.

  • Put pressure on the coil of the spring so that it doesn't fly out, and move the arm of the spring over the top of the fastener, and push it in so that it stays underneath the lip.

  • While keeping pressure on the coil, quickly tighten the screws. Tighten the screw closest to the spring first. This will prevent the spring from unseating itself and springing back out.

Reacomodando el Resorte

Si el resorte se sale, deberá reacomodarlo para que el mecanismo de ajuste funcione. El resorte debe estar ubicado debajo del borde de la parte atornillada de la correa para que pueda presionar contra el mecanismo al colocar la correa.

Primero, vuelve a atornillar la correa sin apretarla demasiado. No la aprietes demasiado o tendrás dificultades para colocar el resorte. Una vez atornillado, ajusta el mecanismo de modo que quede alineado con una de las clavijas.

Coloca el resorte de manera que la espiral rodee el radio cercano y el brazo inferior encaje en su pequeña muesca, detrás de los tornillos de la correa.

Puedes usar un destornillador magnético para asentar el resorte y evitar que se caiga dentro del controlador.

Presiona la espiral del resorte para que no se salga, y desliza el brazo del resorte sobre la parte superior del cierre, empujándolo hacia adentro para que quede debajo del borde.

Manteniendo la espiral presionada, aprieta rápidamente los tornillos. Aprieta primero el tornillo más cercano al resorte. Esto evitará que el resorte se desplace y se salga.
