Reseating the Spring

  • If the spring falls, out, you'll need to reseat it for the adjustment mechanism to work. The spring should be located underneath the lip of the screwed-in part of the strap so that it can push against the mechanism when you push the strap in.

  • First, loosely screw the strap back in. Don't screw it in too tight, or you'll have trouble getting the spring in. Once it's screwed in, adjust the mechanism so that it's lined up with one of the pegs.

  • Place the spring so that the coil is around the nearby spoke, and the lower arm is seated in its little notch behind the strap screws.

  • You may want to use a magnetic screwdriver to seat the spring to prevent it from falling into the controller.

  • Put pressure on the coil of the spring so that it doesn't fly out, and move the arm of the spring over the top of the fastener, and push it in so that it stays underneath the lip.

  • While keeping pressure on the coil, quickly tighten the screws. Tighten the screw closest to the spring first. This will prevent the spring from unseating itself and springing back out.

Feder einsetzen

Wenn die Feder herausfällt, musst du sie wieder einsetzen, damit der Verstellmechanismus funktioniert. Die Feder muss sich unter der Lippe am angeschraubten Teil des Gurtes befinden, so dass sie gegen den Mechanismus drückt, wenn du den Gurt einschiebst.

Schraube als erstes den Gurt lose fest. Drehe die Schraube nicht zu weit ein, sonst wirst du Schwierigkeiten beim Einsetzen der Feder haben. Justiere danach den Mechanismus so, dass er mit einem der Stifte übereinstimmt.

Lege die Feder so ein, dass die Windung um die nahe gelegene Speiche liegt und der untere Arm in seiner kleinen Kerbe hinter den Gurtschrauben sitzt.

Verwende zum Einsetzen der Feder am besten einen magnetischen Schraubendreher, damit sie nicht in den Kontroller hinein fällt.

Drücke die Windungen der Feder zusammen, damit sie nicht herausfallen kann und bewege den Arm der Feder oben über den Halter. Schiebe sie dann hinein, bis sie unter der Lippe bleibt.

Drücke weiterhin auf die Feder und ziehe schnell die Schrauben fest. Ziehe zuerst die Schraube nahe bei der Feder an. Dadurch wird die Feder daran gehindert, wieder herauszukommen und zurück zu springen.
