Apply a suction cup

  • Apply a suction cup to the top left corner of the display by pressing down on it to create suction, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If your screen is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the broken glass.

  • Glass shards can complicate disassembly—or worse, cause injury. If your Steam Deck has a cracked screen, consider wearing safety glasses to protect your eyes from any glass shaken free during the repair.

Druk een zuignap op het scherm

Druk een zuignap op de linker bovenhoek van het scherm, zo dicht mogelijk bij de rand.

Als je scherm gebarsten is, kun je het beplakken met een laag doorzichtige tape. Op die manier zorg je dat de zuignap zich vast kan zuigen. Als alternatief kun je een stuk sterke tape gebruiken om het scherm omhoog te trekken. Als dat alles niet lukt, kun je de zuignap met secondelijm op het scherm vastlijmen.
