Apply a suction cup

  • Apply a suction cup to the top left corner of the display by pressing down on it to create suction, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If your screen is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the broken glass.

  • Glass shards can complicate disassembly—or worse, cause injury. If your Steam Deck has a cracked screen, consider wearing safety glasses to protect your eyes from any glass shaken free during the repair.

Saugheber anbringen

Setze einen Saugheber an der oberen linken Ecke so nahe wie möglich an der Kante auf das Display und drücke ihn fest.

Wenn dein Display stark gebrochen ist, kann es hilfreich sein, es mit durchsichtigem Klebeband abzukleben, damit der Saugheber besser hält. Alternativ, kann auch starkes Klebeband statt des Saughebers benutzt werden. Wenn das alles nichts bringt, klebe den Saugheber mit Sekundenkleber fest.

Glassplitter können die Reparatur erschweren oder - noch schlimmer - dich verletzen. Wenn das Display deines Steam Decks zerbrochen ist, solltest du eine Schutzbrille tragen, damit keine Glassplitter in dein Auge kommen.
