Insert an opening pick

  • Once the screen is warm to touch, apply a suction cup to the bottom edge of the phone.

  • If your screen is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the screen.

  • Lift the screen with the suction handle to create a small gap between the screen and the midframe.

  • Insert an opening pick in the gap between the midframe and the screen.

  • In case you only want to replace the display glass but not the LCD and digitizer you need to be especially carful during the next step. There's a small cable at the bottom right end of the LCD which is very fragile. Only slide with the very tip of your opening pick (about 1-2 mm).

  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner of the screen to slice its adhesive. Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

Una vez que la pantalla esté caliente al tacto, aplica una ventosa en el borde inferior del teléfono.

Si la pantalla está muy agrietada, cubrirla con una capa de cinta de embalar transparente puede permitir que la ventosa se adhiera. También se puede utilizar una cinta adhesiva muy resistente en lugar de la ventosa. Si todo lo demás falla, puedes pegar la ventosa a la pantalla.

Levanta la pantalla con la ventosa para crear un pequeño hueco entre la pantalla y el marco intermedio.

Introduce una púa de apertura en el hueco entre el marco intermedio y la pantalla.

En caso de que sólo quiera reemplazar el cristal de la pantalla pero no el LCD y el digitalizador, debe tener especial cuidado durante el siguiente paso. Hay un pequeño cable en el extremo inferior derecho del LCD que es muy frágil. Sólo deslice con la punta de su pico de apertura (alrededor de 1-2 mm).

Desliza la púa de apertura hacia la esquina inferior derecha de la pantalla para cortar su adhesivo. Deja la púa de apertura en su lugar para evitar que el adhesivo se vuelva a sellar.
