Heat the left edge

  • Heat an iOpener and lay it over the left edge of the iPad to soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.

  • Alternatively, you can use a heat gun, hair dryer, or heat pad. Be careful not to overheat the iPad—the display and internal battery are both susceptible to heat damage.

  • Wait two minutes for the adhesive to soften before proceeding to the next step. The edge should be slightly too hot to the touch.

Linke Kante erwärmen

Lege einen erwärmten iOpener auf den linken Rand des iPads, um den Kleber des Displays aufzuweichen.

Du kannst auch einen Haartrockner, ein Heißluftgebläse oder eine Heizplatte verwenden. Sei vorsichtig und überhitze das iPad nicht - das Display und der interne Akku sind beide sehr wärmeempfindlich.

Lasse die Wärme zwei Minuten lang einwirken, bis der Kleber weich geworden ist und du zum nächsten Schritt übergehen kannst. Die Kante sollte gerade so heiß sein, dass du sie nicht mehr anfassen kannst.
