Remove the old adhesive

  • Before you install new adhesive strips, remove all of the old adhesive from the perimeter of the rear enclosure.

  • If you are re-using your existing display, you must also remove the old adhesive from the back of the display.

  • Peel off the adhesive strips using tweezers or your fingers. Start at the bottom and peel upward towards the top of the device.

  • After all the old adhesive is removed, carefully clean the surface with 90% (or greater) isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Wipe in one direction, not back and forth.

  • Don't skip this step, or your new adhesive strips may not bond properly, and the display may fall out of your iMac.

Retira el adhesivo antiguo

Antes de instalar nuevas tiras adhesivas, retira todo el adhesivo antiguo del perímetro de la carcasa trasera.

Si vas a reutilizar la pantalla existente, también debes retirar el adhesivo antiguo de la parte posterior de la pantalla.

Despega las tiras adhesivas con unas pinzas o con los dedos. Empieza por la parte inferior y despega hacia la parte superior del dispositivo.

Una vez retirado todo el adhesivo antiguo, limpia cuidadosamente la superficie con alcohol isopropílico al 90% (o superior) y un paño sin pelusas. Limpia en una dirección, no de un lado a otro.

No te saltes este paso, o es posible que las nuevas tiras adhesivas no se adhieran correctamente y la pantalla se caiga del iMac.
