Remove the screen

  • Don't try to completely remove the screen yet. There are still two cables routed through the frame.

  • Hold the top half of the frame up so that the touch layer cable can be threaded through its cutout.

  • Lift the screen up by its top half while threading the touch layer cable through its cutout in the frame.

  • Don't lift the screen higher than about a 30 degree angle above the frame to avoid damaging the display cable.

  • If the screen does not easily lift off the frame, you may need to cut through more of the perimeter adhesive or apply more isopropyl alcohol to the inner adhesive.

Verwijder het scherm

Probeer het scherm nog niet volledig te verwijderen. Er lopen namelijk nog steeds twee kabels door het frame heen.

Houd de bovenkant van het frame omhoog zodat de kabel van de touchscreenlaag door de opening in het frame heen getrokken kan worden.

Til het scherm aan de bovenkant op terwijl je de kabel van de touchscreenlaag door de opening in het frame trekt.

Til het scherm niet verder omhoog dan ongeveer 30 graden boven het frame. Zo voorkom je schade aan de schermkabel.

Als het scherm niet met gemak van het frame afkomt, zul je nog meer lijm rondom het scherm door moeten snijden of meer isopropyl alcohol bij de lijm aan de binnenkant toe moeten dienen.
