Disassembling the scroll mechanism

  • Remove the two screws that secure the motor rotor cover, and then gently remove the cover.

  • Remove the screw that holds the piece, plastic. Note that to remove it you must carefully remove the small spring that connects it to the transparent support where the scroll wheel rests.

  • Note the strap that helps the motor head, and the spring of the plastic part.

  • Disassemble the rotor or motor head by prying very gently with an iFixit Opening Tool or other instrument. Note the position where it was before dismounting, as it has only one position for mounting.

Désassemblage mécanisme de la molette

Retirez les deux vis qui fixent le cache du rotor du moteur, puis retirez délicatement le cache.

Retirez la vis qui maintient la pièce plastique. Notez que pour l'enlever, vous devez retirer avec précaution le petit ressort qui le relie au support transparent sur lequel repose la molette.

Notez la sangle qui soutient la tête du moteur, et le ressort de la partie en plastique.

Démontez le rotor ou la tête du moteur en faisant très doucement levier avec un outil d'ouverture iFixit ou un autre instrument. Notez la position où il se trouvait avant le démontage, car il n'a qu'une seule position pour le montage.
