Lift display and cut adhesive

  • Apply a suction cup as close as possible to the edge of the display.

  • Use the suction cup to lift the edge of the display enough to insert an opening pick under the edge.

  • Slide the opening pick all the way around the edges of the display to cut through the adhesive on the bezel.

  • Do not insert the opening pick past the bezel of the display—you may permanently damage the display.

  • The bezel is much thinner on the bottom of the display, which is the side with the Windows logo. To avoid damage, don't poke too deep with the opening pick on the bottom edge.

  • Ribbon cables and a circuit board are approx. 0.6 cm from the edge of the glass.

  • Be very careful and move slowly during this step. The display is fragile and will crack if too much force is applied against it. If your tools seem stuck, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive.

Display anheben und Kleber auftrennen

Bringe einen Saugheber so nahe wie möglich an der Displaykante an.

Ziehe am Saugheber, um die Kante des Displays soweit anzuheben, dass du ein Plektrum darunter einsetzen kannst.

Schiebe das Plektrum unter allen Kanten des Displays entlang, um den Kleber auf der Blende aufzutrennen.

Setze das Plektrum nicht tiefer als die Blende ein, du riskierst es sonst, das Display dauerhaft zu beschädigen.

Die Blende ist an der Unterkante (die Seite mit dem Windows-Logo) viel dünner. Schiebe das Plektrum an der Unterkante nicht zu tief ein, um Schäden zu vermeiden.

Die Flachbandkabel und die Leiterplatte sind ungefähr 6 mm von der Kante des Glases entfernt.

Arbeite bei diesem Schritt sehr langsam und sorgfältig. Das Display ist empfindlich und bricht leicht, wenn zuviel Druck ausgeübt wird. Wenn dein Werkzeug festzustecken scheint, dann erwärme das Display nochmals, damit der Kleber wieder weich wird.
