  • Use a 3 mm hexagonal wrench to release the heatsink. The wrench must be at least 15 cm long.

  • Release the holding bolts ONE TURN at a time, following an X pattern (top left, bottom right, top right, bottom left, far left) and continue until you hear a release click. Note: do not completely undo one bolt and then move to the next. Instead, repeat this pattern, making one turn at a time, until the heatsink is released from the PCB.

  • When you replace the heatsink use the same pattern to tighten the bolts. Do not tighten more than finger tight. Make sure that the same tension is applied to each of the bolts. Uneven pressure can result in the CPU contacts failing. Symptoms range from boot-failure to missing or malfunctioning memory cards. 


Usa una llave hexagonal de 3 mm para liberar el disipador de calor. La llave debe tener al menos 15 cm de largo.

Suelta los pernos de sujeción UNA VUELTA a la vez, siguiendo un patrón en X (arriba a la izquierda, abajo a la derecha, arriba a la derecha, abajo a la izquierda, a la izquierda) y continúa hasta que escuches un clic de liberación. Nota: no deshagas completamente un perno y luego pases al siguiente.

En su lugar, repite esta pauta, dando una vuelta a la vez, hasta que el disipador de calor se suelte de la PCB.

Cuando reemplaces el disipador de calor, usa el mismo patrón para apretar los pernos. No aprietes más que con los dedos. Asegúrate de aplicar la misma tensión a cada uno de los pernos. La presión desigual puede provocar que los contactos de la CPU fallen.

Los síntomas van desde fallos en el arranque hasta tarjetas de memoria perdidas o que funcionan mal.
