Clean and Set the New Gasket

  • Using a little alcohol and q-tips or paper towel and tweezers, clean any residue of adhesive where the gasket was sitting.

  • After cleaning the gasket surface, without peeling off the adhesive protective sheets yet, set the gasket down over top of the perimeter of the watch just to observe the fitment.

  • The ifixit force touch gasket comes contained within a handy removable plastic holder.

  • Once confident with the fitment, peel off the adhesive protective sheet on the under side, line up the gasket to the watch and set it down onto the watch.

  • Press down around the gasket along the edges of the watch where the gasket sits in its groove so that the adhesive can take hold.

  • Remove the plastic holder from the gasket. Note that the gasket upper adhesive protective sheet is still in place.

Reinigen und Einsetzen der neuen Dichtung

Benutze etwas Alkohol und Q-Tips (Wattestäbchen) oder Papiertücher und eine Pinzette, um die Klebstoffrückstände am Gehäuse zu entfernen.

Wenn die Oberfläche sauber ist, kannst du, um zu überprüfen, ob alles passt, die Dichtung ohne vorher die Schutzfolien abzuziehen auf das Gehäuse legen. Ziehe die Schutzfolie noch nicht ab!

Die iFixit Force Touch-Dichtung verfügt über eine praktische abnehmbare Halterung aus Plastik.

Wenn du die Passgenauigkeit überprüft hast, ziehst du die Schutzfolie an der Unterseite ab, richtest die Dichtung an der Uhr aus und klebst sie auf die Uhr.

Drücke die Dichtung entlang der Ränder fest, wo die Dichtung in den Rillen sitzt, damit der Klebstoff gut anhaften kann.

Jetzt kannst du die Plastikhalterung von der Dichtung entfernen. Die obere Schutzfolie der Dichtung ist immer noch dran.
