  • While these black squares may look outwardly similar, X-rays from our experts at Creative Electron reveal radically different insides.

  • Already our subject (left) presents with some differences from the Series 3 (right)—the back sports an all-new optical sensor in the middle, surrounded by a new electrode.

  • We're looking forward to a closer look at that ECG hardware.

  • Other immediate differences from the "old" 42 mm version: the corners are noticeably rounder for more of that squircle look, and the side button now sits flush with the case.

  • Seen from the side, the Series 4 is noticeably slimmer than the Series 3 (by 0.7 mm)—but it's actually thicker than the original.

  • From the look of things, a good deal of that slimming is thanks to the new display.

Questi quadrati neri sembrano molto simili dall'esterno, ma i raggi X dei nostri esperti di Creative Electron mostrano interni radicalmente diversi.

Il nostro soggetto (a sinistra) si presenta già con alcune differenze rispetto al Series 3 (a destra): sul retro in posizione centrale c'è un sensore ottico del tutto nuovo, circondato da un nuovo elettrodo.

Non vediamo l'ora di dare un'occhiata da vicino a questo hardware per elettrocardiogrammi.

Altre differenze subito evidenti rispetto alla "vecchia" versione da 42 mm: gli angoli sono apprezzabilmente più arrotondati per dare al dispositivo un aspetto più da supercerchio e il pulsante laterale ora è a filo del case.

Nella vista laterale, è evidente che il Series 4 è più sottile del Serie 3 (di 0,7 mm), mentre è più spesso dell'originale.

Da come si presentano le cose, una bella fetta del dimagrimento è da attribuire al display.
