  • Next we turn our attention to the brains of the phone, and after removing a few friendly Phillips screws, the motherboard slides free.

  • If this board already looks a bit worse for wear, that's because we previously removed the EMI shields for our video teardown. Give yourself a pat on the back if you noticed!

  • Near the top of the board we get a look at the S9's new heart rate and blood pressure sensors, a step up from the standard heart rate sensor seen on many phones.

  • This new blood pressure hardware works alongside a Samsung and UCSF co-developed research app to give users info about stress levels and blood pressure.

Als nächstes wenden wir uns dem Gehirn des Smartphones zu und nach dem Entfernen von ein paar netten Kreuzschlitzschrauben lässt sich das Motherboard herausschieben.

Falls das Board schon etwas mitgenommen aussieht, dann liegt das daran, dass wir für unser Video-Teardown vorher die EMI Abschirmung entfernt hatten. Wenn du das bemerkt hattest, kannst du stolz auf dich sein!

Nahe der Oberkante des Boards sehen wir die neuen Herzfrequenz- und Blutdrucksensoren, eine Verbesserung im Vergleich zu den normalen Herzfrequenzsensoren vieler Handys.

Die neue Hardware für den Blutdruckmesser funktioniert zusammen mit einer von Samsung und UCSF gemeinsam entwickelten App, die Nutzern Informationen zu Stressniveaus und Blutdruck gibt.
