Normally, there will be two screws holding the hard drive (or, in this case, solid state drive) in, but in this case, the screws are missing, and the SSD slid out from the connector. The computer wasn't showing any drive, and hence, it was brought in for me to repair.

Remove the two screws securing the hard drive to the base.
