The battery should be very visible at this point in the guide.

Using the spudger, carefully pry the battery connector upwards out of the socket. Do not fully remove the battery yet.

Now using the tweezers, carefully remove the ribbon connecting the battery from the hardware.

The battery isn't held in by anything, so it can fall out of the case if turned upside down.
