Unscrew the six 5mm Phillips #0 screws on the back of the remote

Separate the back of the remote from the front panel.

During re-assembly, make sure the plastic button covers on the front panel align with the buttons on the back panel. If they do not, the buttons may be forced into an always "pressed" state.
