Take your 17mm socket and loosen the drain plug.

Once loose enough, remove the plug by hand.

The oil may be hot, so wear latex gloves when removing the plug.

Let the oil drain out until its just a drip.

Clean off the plug with a paper towel or rag.

Re-screw drain plug back into the oil pan.

Make sure it's not to tight or loose - check the owners manual for torque specifications.
