Insert the quill back into the frame.

While pushing and holding the quill up, slide the feed lever pinion back in connecting with the quill rack.

Insert the end of the pinion into the spiral spring.

At this point, if the quill is not supported, it will fall if you let go of the lever or the quill. Make sure to support it before continuing to the final step.
