Remove the two 6 mm Phillips #00 screws holding the motherboard in place.

Remove the motherboard by desoldering it.

In order to replace the receiver of the remote, the motherboard will need to be replaced. This is because the receiver is part of the motherboard. In order to do that, remove the wires connecting the motherboard to the remote. A guide on soldering and desoldering connections can be found here.
